Why You Need Shipping Insurance for Your Vehicle
Comprehensive Vehicle Transport Insurance for Total Peace of Mind
Shipping your vehicle comes with risks—damage, delays, or unexpected issues can lead to costly losses. Standard carrier coverage is often limited and may not fully protect your car’s value. With additional vehicle shipping insurance, you get full protection and peace of mind from pickup to delivery.
Clarify Your Coverage
Vehicle Transport Insurance: Coverage vs Exclusions for Fleet & Logistics Operations
Understand exactly what carrier insurance covers—and what it excludes—so your business can reduce risk, control costs, and ensure smooth, compliant vehicle transport operations.
WHAT’S COVERED
- Damage During Loading & Unloading. Covers accidental damage during vehicle handling at pickup and delivery points, including equipment-related incidents and operational errors.
- Damage During Transit. Protects vehicles across local, regional, and nationwide transport routes. Coverage includes collisions, road hazards, vandalism, and in-transit incidents.
- Carrier-Related Accidents. Provides financial protection in the event of carrier fault, covering repair costs, total loss, and associated logistics expenses.
- External Damage. Covers damage caused by environmental and external factors such as severe weather, road debris, and unforeseen transport risks.
WHAT’S NOT COVERED
- Personal Belongings Inside Vehicles. Items inside vehicles are excluded from coverage. Vehicles should be cleared prior to transport to avoid liability.
- Pre-existing Vehicle Damage. Damage documented during inspection at pickup is not covered under carrier insurance.
- Mechanical or Internal Failures. Insurance does not cover mechanical breakdowns, electrical issues, or internal component failures during transport.
- Improper Vehicle Condition. Damage resulting from poor maintenance, leaks, or non-compliant vehicle condition is excluded from coverage.
